Commercial Lines Producer
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Lines Producer to join a team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong sales aptitude and a passion for building client relationships in the commercial insurance sector. Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $60,000 (steps down annually over 5 years to allow time to build a book of business)
- Commission Structure: 60% on new business, 25% on renewals
- Benefits: Not offered
- Remote Work: Available for experienced producers based in Virginia or North Carolina. Training may require in-office presence at one of our five locations: Lynchburg, Danville, Amherst, Collinsville, or Walnut Cove, NC.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a book of business by prospecting and securing new commercial lines accounts.
- Handle incoming warm leads and actively pursue new leads through cold-calling and other outreach methods (50 calls per day expected).
- Utilize a database of 8,000 leads, sorted by renewal dates, to identify and target potential clients.
- Quote new and renewal business to meet client needs and achieve sales goals.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Travel as required to meet with clients and attend training sessions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in commercial lines sales. Candidates with personal lines experience and a strong sales aptitude will also be considered.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close sales, and build lasting client relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
