Personal Lines Insurance Producer

THE ROLE:  

The Producer drives revenue growth by selling insurance products, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional service. This role combines sales expertise, insurance knowledge, and a customer-first mindset to meet client needs and achieve sales targets.

Unlike service-oriented roles, the Producer is focused on growth and market expansion. The Producer is responsible for identifying, soliciting, and binding new insurance business while maintaining a portfolio of existing clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Generate leads and prospect new clients through cold calling, networking, community involvement, and referrals.
• Evaluate clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Prepare personalized insurance quotes, cross-sell additional lines of coverage, and close sales.
• Pitch insurance products, explain complex insurance concepts in clear terms, and convert prospects into policyholders.
• Deliver superior service to clients throughout the policyholder lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and internal partners.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in solving client problems and identifying new opportunities.
• Adapt to changing situations, markets, and client needs.

Key Performance Indicators:

• New business premium: The total value of new policies written during a specific period
• Retention Rate: the percentage of existing clients who renew their polices year over year
• Unlike service-oriented roles, the Producer is focused on growth and market expansion.
• The Producer is responsible for identifying, soliciting, and binding new insurance business while maintaining a portfolio of existing clients.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:  

• Active Property and Casualty License
• Minimum of 2 years of Insurance sales experience
• Superior personal lines insurance knowledge
• Ability to successfully work independently and manage workload and priorities
• Solid computer, grammar and multi-tasking skills
• Strong attention to detail with time management and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to be persuasive; persistent and confident in closing a sale
• Self-driven initiative to follow up with warm leads and close sales
• Previous experience thriving in a high-volume and fast paced work environment
• Prior experience selling Insurance at an Independent Agency preferred
• Prior experience with AMS and PLrater preferred
• Fluent Spanish speaker preferred
