The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the GSOC, ensuring the team provides timely, accurate, and effective security monitoring, incident response, intelligence support, escalation management, and operational coordination.

 

This role serves as a key operational leader within the GSOC and is responsible for maintaining a high-performing, resilient, and collaborative team environment. The manager will oversee daily GSOC operations, support both local and remote team members, drive operational consistency, and ensure established processes, procedures, and standards are followed.

 

The GSOC Manager will work closely with GSOC Senior Management and other security leadership to support the overall objectives of the GSOC, identify operational opportunities, address emerging risks, and ensure the organization is prepared to respond effectively to security events and incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a key support partner to Senior Management in the oversight of the overall GSOC organization.
• Manage the daily operations and activities of the GSOC to ensure continuous and effective workload distribution.
• Ensure GSOC personnel consistently follow established procedures, protocols, and operational standards.
• Monitor the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of security monitoring, reporting, intelligence, and incident response activities.
• Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and resiliency.
• Ensure appropriate escalation of security incidents, threats, and critical events to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain operational readiness and ensure the team can effectively respond to emerging and evolving security threats.
• Provide direct leadership, direction, and performance management to local GSOC personnel.
• Work with GSOC Sr. Manager to establish clear expectations, priorities, and accountability for team members.
• Ensure the local team maintains a high level of professionalism, situational awareness, and operational discipline.
• Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, training, and career-development opportunities.
• Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns promptly and appropriately.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong communication and collaboration between local and remote team members.
• Identify challenges affecting remote operations and work with leadership to develop effective solutions.
• Assist Senior Management with strategic planning, organizational priorities, staffing considerations, and operational initiatives.
• Support implementation of new technologies and operational capabilities.

 

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site five days per week in Lone Tree, CO.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working in a GSOC, Security Operations Center, intelligence, corporate security, emergency management, or related security environment.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in a security operations environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing daily operations and leading teams.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed or remote teams preferred.
• Strong understanding of security operations, incident management, threat assessment, and escalation procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Business, or a related field.
• Experience managing a 24/7 GSOC or similar operational environment.
• Experience with global security operations and international risk environments.
• Intelligence analysis or threat intelligence experience.
• Experience with security technology, monitoring platforms, incident management systems, and intelligence tools.
• Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, policies, and operational procedures.
• Professional security certifications such as ASIS CPP, PSP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Experience leading organizational change or operational transformation initiatives.
