The Company
Vital Design Solutions Pty Ltd (Vital) is an upcoming Engineering Consultancy Company based in Canberra. Vital specialises in Civil and Hydraulic consultancy services with a strong focus on high quality design and accurate documentation in line with our clients’ expectations. Vital has a significant existing client base and an ever-growing workload in the ACT and interstate.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated person that is going to enhance our team with their experience in AutoCAD as well as an understanding of Civil Engineering principles. As a Civil Engineer at Vital Design Solutions, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to complete projects under the guidance of senior staff from inception to completion.
- Consult with clients, other industry professionals, and authorities.
- Attend site visits as required and report accordingly.
- Lead a team of Draftspersons and Designers.
You will be required to design elements within the Civil discipline. These include, but are not limited to:
- Pavement design and spatial planning
- Pedestrian and cycle path design
- Capacity analysis
- Easement design
- Pavement design
- Waste management calculations, planning and assessment
- Collection vehicle assessment and selection
- Vehicle modelling
- Waste water management
- Environmental management
- Traffic guidance schemes
- Traffic control assessments
- Site Grading
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Civil Engineer in the ACT.
- A strong knowledge of Australian Standards, ACT regulations and associated procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
- Ability to complete projects to a high standard.
