Education and Outreach Coordinator
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! Do you enjoy connecting with students, communities, and cooperative members? Are you someone who likes bringing ideas to life through presentations, events, outreach materials, and hands-on learning? We're looking for an Education and Outreach Coordinator who is excited to share the cooperative story, support meaningful community outreach, and help people better understand the value of electric cooperatives. In this role, you'll work with East River and our member systems to coordinate youth education programs, support trade shows and community events, and share important safety and cooperative messages with a variety of audiences.

What You'll Accomplish

- Team up with East River's member systems to bring Co-ops in the Classrooms presentations to students across our service territory.
- Help East River show up in a friendly, positive way at trade shows, local fairs, member system annual and district meetings, and other regional events.
- Share important safety messages through hands-on demonstrations using East River's exhibits and outreach resources.
- Keep East River's youth outreach curriculum fresh, engaging, and effective for the students and audiences we serve.
- Help create trade show displays, outreach materials, and community engagement resources that support East River and our member systems.
- Build meaningful connections with member systems, community partners, schools, and organizations through meetings, events, associations, and outreach opportunities.
- Support East River's strategic goals by helping move education, outreach, safety, and cooperative engagement efforts forward.
- Jump in where needed to support East River's mission and help make a positive impact for our members and communities.
Showcase Your Knowledge, Abilities, and Expertise. Do you have?
- A bachelor's degree in education, communications, business or a related field
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently, with occasional overnight stays
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence presenting information to students, community members, cooperative partners, and groups of all sizes
- Experience in public speaking, cooperative or utility communications, and event planning, preferred
- Strong organization skills and the ability to keep track of details, schedules, materials, and follow-through
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer technology tools
- A positive, professional presence and a genuine interest in building relationships, supporting communities, and sharing the cooperative story
