Position Summary
The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting assigned store locations by managing inventory, customer relationships, operational performance, and team development. This role ensures stores operate efficiently, maintain strong service levels, and achieve financial and operational goals.
The Regional Manager plays a key leadership role in driving accountability, improving business performance, and strengthening customer satisfaction across the region. This position requires strong organizational leadership, business oversight, and the ability to coach and develop employees while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels and accuracy, including inventory rotation, quarterly PPG & 3M inventory reviews, annual full store inventory audits, oversight of overstock, and coordination of annual vendor returns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers while improving service levels and delivery efficiency.
- Partner with store managers to identify service gaps, resolve operational issues proactively, and provide training to improve customer satisfaction.
- Review and communicate monthly Gain & Loss reports to support business performance visibility and improvement.
- Monitor customer account aging to ensure balances remain within the 1–30-day range.
- Analyze 12-month usage reports for top customers and communicate findings with the Business Development Manager to support growth opportunities.
- Ensure stores remain organized, operationally efficient, and customer-focused environments.
- Hold employees accountable for performance, responsibilities, and assigned tasks.
- Complete performance evaluations, weekly planners, daily backorder reports, inventory tracking, store training coordination, bi-weekly special submissions, and other assigned administrative and operational duties in a timely manner.
- Attend required meetings, conferences, calls, and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail, distribution, or multi-location management with responsibility for inventory oversight and operational performance.
- Strong background in customer relationship management and team leadership.
- Experience managing inventory controls, financial reporting, and operational metrics.
- Ability to analyze business data, including sales reports, inventory reports, and customer aging reports.
- Demonstrated ability to hold employees accountable while coaching and developing team performance.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and utilize company systems and reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally with required overnight travel.
