As a Business Analyst (Streamline Client Lifecycle Program) at PwC, you’ll bring your analytical, facilitation and BPMN/process‑mapping expertise to redesign the end‑to‑end client onboarding process so data is captured once, reused downstream and processes are simpler, standardised and risk‑robust, based in Sydney / Gadigal (Eora Nation). You’ll partner with client‑facing, risk and operations teams across PwC Australia and work closely with the Automation & Agentification squad to translate designs into requirements, pilots and automation opportunities.

What you’ll do: 

• Lead discovery and current‑state mapping of end‑to‑end onboarding processes using BABOK‑aligned techniques and process performance measures (volumes, cycle times, effort, rework).
• Diagnose root causes, duplicated data capture, redundant reviews, hand‑offs and control gaps, and prioritise redesign opportunities by value, effort and risk.
• Design future‑state processes, user journeys and fit‑for‑purpose onboarding pathways that eliminate non‑value activity, standardise the core and remain risk‑robust.
• Define data capture, mapping, business rules and reporting requirements so client and risk information can be reused and surfaced for management reporting.
• Translate designs into business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and capture automation and AI opportunities for the A&A Squad backlog.
• Support pilots, process testing and business validation; prepare operating procedures, process documentation and transition materials to embed new ways of working.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews and walkthroughs to build shared understanding and identify automation opportunities early.
• Build trusted relationships across client‑facing, risk, compliance and operations teams and partner with change managers to drive adoption.

 

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end process optimisation or business process re‑engineering in complex, multi‑stakeholder organisations, ideally in professional services or financial services.
  Strong current and future‑state process mapping skills (BPMN, swimlanes, value stream and customer journey mapping).
• Demonstrated application of Lean, Six Sigma or similar methods to remove waste, reduce hand‑offs and standardise processes.
• Experience with client onboarding and regulated risk processes (AML/CTF/KYC/CDD, conflicts, independence) and translating requirements into simple, compliant designs.
• Ability to measure process performance and build a case for change using quantitative and qualitative evidence.
• Strong requirements elicitation and backlog refinement experience, including business rules, data mapping, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience identifying automation and AI opportunities and working with technology teams to deliver them.
• Skilled facilitator and effective communicator, comfortable navigating Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
• Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Miro, Microsoft Whiteboard and Jira; exposure to process mining (Signavio, Celonis) or CRM/workflow platforms (Salesforce) is highly regarded.
