Job Description

As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use technology to document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
