Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full-Time Building Code Inspector to join our Building Code Services team. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Connecticut State Building Codes and local regulations through field inspections of residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or code enforcement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties
- Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial projects to verify compliance with applicable Connecticut State Building Codes and local ordinances.
- Document inspection results and prepare clear, concise reports for project records.
- Communicate findings and code requirements to contractors, design professionals, and municipal officials. Identify code violations and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients and project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal team members to support project schedules and deliverables.
