OVERVIEW
The Trade Desk Support Associate plays a crucial role in supporting front-office sales and trading activities by ensuring timely and accurate trade processing, reconciliation, and lifecycle event management across various financial products. This position collaborates closely with traders, sales teams, operations, technology, compliance, and clients to facilitate efficient transaction processing while maintaining a robust control environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trade support and capital markets operations, demonstrating the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment. They will utilize their analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational issues, manage multiple priorities, and ensure high levels of transaction accuracy while fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
Pay: T4: $50-54 / IC $58-62
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support daily trade capture, validation, and booking activities to ensure accurate downstream processing and settlement.
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Perform trade affirmation, allocation, and lifecycle event processing activities.
- Partner with traders and sales teams to address operational issues, client inquiries, and transaction-related requests.
- Monitor transaction processing controls and escalate issues, risks, or regulatory concerns when appropriate.
- Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Compliance, and external counterparties to support successful trade execution and settlement.
- Support the implementation of new products, business initiatives, and technology enhancements.
- Maintain process documentation, procedures, and audit evidence in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Participate in testing, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Up to 5 years of experience in trade support, capital markets operations, middle office, or financial services.
- Understanding of capital markets products such as fixed income, equities, repo, foreign exchange, or derivatives.
- Experience working with trading systems, market data platforms, and operational workflows.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of SQL, VBA, Python, or automation is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
