Job Description:
Location: Simcoe County, Ontario

Why this Role is Important
Under the general supervision of the Project’s Senior Leader, the incumbent provides technical support and assistance to staff, faculty and students in the daily operations, maintenance, organization and implementation of Aviation related programs in the Norton Wolf School of Aerospace. The incumbent will service and repair tools and equipment in the school which may include ordering/purchasing of parts, designing and building training aides.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Provides technical support to the Norton Wolf School of Aerospace Technology that includes:
Service and repair all Avionics tools and equipment (install, clean, adjust, dismantle, recondition, repair/rebuild/replace parts, assemble and test as required)
Record maintenance and repair activities for aircraft/equipment
Requisition maintenance supplies as required
Tool control
Develops instructional aids to demonstrate techniques and prepares materials for related classes
Assist professors with large classes by demonstrating use of tools, equipment or techniques related to learning objectives taught in classrooms and lab spaces. Monitors students to ensure they adhere to safety requirements.
Demonstrate tools, equipment or techniques to other staff to ensure the use of specific tool and lab equipment conforms to College safe operating procedures, manufacturer specifications or specific conditions that may be unique to the individual piece of equipment.
Prepare and maintain a suitable preventative maintenance program for related program equipment. Maintain Safety Data Sheets for assigned labs.

What You’ll Bring
Certified and maintained Aviation Maintenance Engineering – AME-E or AME-M2 with avionics experience
5 years of recent related avionics experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Military industry experience is an asset
