Quality Supervisor, Armtec Defense Technologies
Armtec Defense Technologies (Armtec) is an operating unit of the TransDigm Group (NYSE: TDG), an industry leader in aerospace and defense products and services. Armtec is comprised of three business units producing subcomponents for ordnance in Coachella, CA; decoy countermeasure flares in Camden AR; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington NC. Primary Responsibilities
- Ability to identify & understand contractual requirements, product specifications, and company procedures.
- Coordinates with Quality Inspection staff in order to meet production requirements.
- Oversees product inspections and applicable documentation per customer requirements.
- Effectively supervises & trains Quality Inspection staff, within company policies and Operational Excellence values.
- Reviews quality problems with Engineering personnel and directs actions to correct discrepancies.
- Issues corrective actions of deficient processes, participates in resolution activities, and follows up to verify corrective/preventive action effectiveness.
- Participates and leads subordinates in Operational Excellence & LEAN initiatives in order to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
- Maintains systems, processes, and documentation that complies with Armtec’s ISO 9001 registration.
- Assists in review/interpretation of technical data for lot performance and MRB activities.
- Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
- Understands and lives by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have the ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be able to comprehend written and oral directions and be able to follow standard procedures for quality and safety.
- Must have the ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.

- Three to Five years experience in the Quality/Supervisory field.
- Two years (min.) experience in a leadership role.
- 4-Year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Hours
- 4/10 Work Schedule – 40 hour week. Overtime as needed.
