Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support audits, monitor cash flow, and contribute to the organization's financial planning and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate financial closings and reporting.
- Prepare annual budgets and daily, monthly, and annual accounts.
- Analyze profitability reports and provide financial recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, the Companies Act, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement strong internal controls and support internal and external audits.
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support planning.
- Conduct risk analysis, manage credit lines, and monitor debtor days.
- Review financial reports and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Handle banking operations, negotiate with banks and suppliers, and manage payment plans.
- Liaise with auditors, IRD, government authorities, and internal departments.
- Manage monthly projections, tax matters, and group reporting.
- Authorize payments, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Stay updated on financial regulations and support team development with HR.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional qualification in CIMA, CA, or ACCA.
- MBA qualification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax processes, and accounting software.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Prior experience with Oracle systems is an added advantage.
- Experience in ERP system implementation and process development is an advantage.
- Overall 5+ years of experience in the finance field.
- Willing to commit to a 2-year contract.
