Director of Treasury

As Director of Treasury, you will own the firm’s treasury strategy, liquidity position and banking relationships across Topco and the wider group, including its international footprint. You will lead group-wide cash forecasting, banking facilities and refinancing, and be the primary point of contact for the firm’s day-to-day banking arrangements, reporting to the Finance Director.
Protecting the firm’s liquidity and financial resilience sits at the centre of everything we do in Treasury, and you will be the driving force behind the strategy, discipline and relationships that keep the group financially strong as it grows.

A look into the role
As Director of Treasury, you will:
- Protect the firm’s liquidity position and lead the treasury function that underpins the group’s stability and growth
- Oversee short and long-term cash forecasting for the group, ensuring appropriate day-to-day liquidity across all group entities
- Prepare the detailed monthly treasury reporting pack for senior leadership, the board and investors, including monitoring and reporting of KPIs
- Work with finance colleagues to drive efficiencies across working capital cycles, including lock-up management and purchase-to-pay optimisation
- Propose and implement approaches to manage treasury risk, working closely with the Finance Director to secure support for agreed actions
- Lead future refinancing exercises for the group, including engagement with lenders on facility structuring and terms
- Oversee amendments to banking system access and matters arising from the firm’s day-to-day banking arrangements
- Manage treasury compliance and cash management across Topco and the wider group, including its subsidiary and international entities
- Maintain and develop treasury policies and processes, including increased digitalisation
- Review key treasury accounting, including matters relevant to audit and statutory accounts reporting
- Lead Partner equity modelling, including monitoring of the equity-based partner incentive plan, partner capital contributions, retirements, admissions and the related cash flow implications
- Support the leadership team with the measurement and assessment of key private equity metrics, including valuation and cash conversion, and model the impact of key strategic decisions
- Support corporate development activity, including modelling the treasury and funding implications of M&A, investment and other strategic transactions
- Work closely with the firm’s banking partners and other external stakeholders, with a high level of exposure to the Senior Leadership Team, Investor and Partner Group
- Lead and develop the treasury team to minimise key person risk and maintain a balanced resourcing approach
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as Director of Treasury, the minimum criteria you’ll need is significant senior treasury experience within a complex, multi-entity organisation, including cash forecasting, banking relationships and treasury risk management. You will have a track record of leading refinancing or banking facility negotiations, and be comfortable communicating complex treasury topics to senior stakeholders including the Finance Director, board and investors. You will also bring strong leadership experience, having led and developed a treasury team.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
- Familiarity with private equity ownership structures
- Experience of partner capital or equity-based incentive plans in a partnership or LLP environment
- Experience supporting corporate development or M&A activity from a treasury perspective
- Relevant professional qualification, such as ACT, ACA, ACCA or CIMA
