Job Description Summary
The Senior Learning & Development Manager will develop and deliver engaging, compliant, and outcomes-driven learning experiences for the Keenova, Dublin Ireland site. Reporting into the site director, you will partner closely with the Training & Development Director, Manufacturing Excellence & Training Manager, Tech Ops Lead, SMEs and cross functional stakeholders to conduct rigorous needs analyses, architect blended solutions, and manage end to end development logistics—from scoping to rollout and measurement. You will leverage advanced authoring tools and modern learning methodologies to ensure learning is creative, timely, and impactful, while aligning to regulatory expectations and Site operational goals.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Needs Analysis & Guidance: Lead structured training needs analyses (audience, tasks, performance gaps, context) and provide expert recommendations on modalities, scope, and sequencing to meet operational, compliance, and performance outcomes.
- Learning Experience Design: Create diverse learning solutions (e-learning, microlearning, videos, simulations, virtual ILT, job aids, OJT materials, performance support) using advanced tools and design frameworks grounded in adult learning and cognitive science.
- Content Development: Storyboard, script, and build content using rapid and advanced development tools; apply strong visual and information design; ensure accessibility (WCAG), inclusive design, and brand consistency.
- Blended Programs & Pathways: Design comprehensive curricula and learning pathways that integrate classroom/virtual training, practice activities, assessments, and on the job application with clear knowledge transfer mechanisms.
- Assessment & Measurement: Define learning objectives and success metrics; design formative and summative assessments; implement learning analytics dashboards; iterate solutions based on data and stakeholder feedback.
- LMS & Delivery Logistics: Coordinate learning deliverables through the LMS (enrolment rules, curricula, version control), schedule sessions, manage releases, and ensure timely delivery, communication plans, and change management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate design workshops with Operations. Tech Ops, QA & SME’s; manage reviews and approvals; maintain productive relationships to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
- Quality, Compliance & Documentation: Maintain robust design standards, training records, versioning, and audit ready documentation; ensure alignment with SOPs, GxP implications where applicable, and regulatory expectations.
- Operational Excellence: Apply Operational Excellence and error proofing concepts in learning interventions; streamline processes; contribute to continuous improvement of the Dublin Site learning portfolio.
- Knowledge Transfer & Enablement: Champion knowledge capture and transfer across teams; develop toolkits, playbooks, and embedded performance supports to sustain learning on the job.
- Project & Workflow Management: Own timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies for multiple concurrent projects; manage creative production logistics to deliver high quality outputs on schedule and within scope.

Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
- Experience: 8+ years designing and developing blended learning solutions in a pharmaceutical, technical or regulated environment, partnering with SMEs across functions.
- Education: BA/BS in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Needs Analysis Expertise: Proven capability to conduct training needs analysis and translate findings into effective learning strategies and curricula.
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with elearning and media development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline; Adobe Creative Cloud; video editing tools; VILT platforms).
- Learning Science & Design: Strong grounding in adult learning principles, cognitive load management, scenario based learning, microlearning, and assessment design.
- LMS Experience: Hands-on experience managing content and curricula in an LMS, including metadata, version control, enrolment, and reporting.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to facilitate workshops, manage stakeholder reviews, and provide clear guidance.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects end to end, balancing creativity with disciplined execution and timely delivery.
- Regulated Environment Exposure: Experience designing training for GxP or similarly regulated operations, with familiarity in audit ready documentation.
- Learning Analytics: Experience with xAPI/SCORM, dashboards, and using data to iterate designs.
- Facilitation Skills: Experience delivering ILT/VILT and coaching SMEs for effective delivery.
- Operational Excellence: Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, error proofing, and human performance improvement.

Salary Range
€90,900 - €117,800 based on industry experience and skills
