Vendor Specialist

About this role:

As a Vendor Specialist, you will support the Vendor Performance & Key Account Management team in the day-to-day operations of Lieferando's vendor logistic partner network across Germany.

Working closely with Vendor Key Account and Success Managers, you will help monitor operational performance, coordinate partner requests, prepare analyses and reports, and ensure smooth execution of operational processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in logistics, vendor management, and operational excellence while working in one of Germany's largest delivery networks.

You will collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders including Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Product & Tech, Sales, and Compliance to support the success of our logistics partners.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

Vendor Management Support

• Support Vendor Key Account and Success Managers in the daily management of external vendor logistics partners
• Coordinate partner requests and ensure timely follow-up
• Maintain operational documentation and trackers
• Support preparation of business reviews and partner meetings

Performance Monitoring

• Monitoring of operational KPI`s

• Prepare recurring reports and dashboards

• Identify performance deviations and escalate findings where appropriate

• Support the implementation of performance improvement initiatives

Operational Coordination

• Coordinate operational tasks across internal teams and external partners
• Support roll-out of new processes and operational initiatives
• Follow up on action items and ensure timely execution
• Assist with issue resolution and operational escalations

Reporting & Analysis

• Support in preparation of presentations, analyses and meeting materials
• Maintain data quality across reporting tools
• Support ad hoc analyses to identify operational trends and opportunities
• Assist in tracking key departmental KPIs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Product & Tech, Sales and Compliance
• Ensure effective communication between internal teams and external logistics partners
• Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What will you bring to the table?

• Foundational professional experience (internships and working student experience also considered) preferably in areas related to key account management, logistics, vendor management, or operations
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics or a related field is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and interest in working with operational data
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Structured and reliable way of working
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Team player with a proactive and hands-on mindset
• Interest in vendor  logistics, operations, e-commerce or marketplace businesses
• Fluent in German and English
