Job Description (JD)
- Oversee daily assembly operations to ensure production targets, product quality and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Plan and coordinate manpower, production schedules and resource allocation to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
- Supervise and lead assembly operators and team leaders, ensuring tasks are completed according to production requirements.
- Monitor production output, productivity, defect rates and overall line performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure assembly processes comply with work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards and safety requirements.
- Identify production bottlenecks, troubleshoot operational issues and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Warehouse departments to resolve production issues and ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor the use of materials, tools and equipment to minimise waste and maintain effective production operations.
- Train, guide and evaluate production personnel to improve their skills, discipline and work performance.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, manpower records and other relevant operational documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce defects and optimise production costs.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements (JR)
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Candidates with relevant working experience and qualifications may also be considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in assembly or production operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience supervising production operators and managing daily assembly activities.
- Good understanding of assembly processes, production planning, manpower allocation and shop-floor management.
- Ability to monitor production KPIs, analyse performance and implement corrective actions.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, SOPs, workplace safety and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets and deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible and hands-on, with the ability to lead and motivate a production team.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English is preferred for work-related communication.
