Maintenance Technician

 

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician role Phoenix, AZ. Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure reliable operation.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.

· Repair, replace, and adjust motors, bearings, belts, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, valves, and other industrial components.

· Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment issues before they result in downtime.

· Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to restore production operations.

· Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

· Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, controls, and related components using appropriate testing equipment.

· Assist with the installation, setup, modification, and improvement of production equipment.

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, repair documentation, and preventative maintenance logs.

· Work closely with production personnel to identify recurring equipment issues and improve equipment reliability.

· Follow established safety procedures, including proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.

· Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area while ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are properly stored.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field preferred.

· Previous experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.

· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

· Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

· Familiarity with motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.

· Experience with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.

· PLC and industrial controls troubleshooting experience is a plus.

· Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues independently.

· Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
