Position: Process Engineer
Location: Quintana, TX (Freeport Area)
Summary:
Client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to provide process surveillance, troubleshooting,
analysis, and engineering support for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility. This position will support
facility operations through process optimization, technical studies, process safety management,
management of change activities, project support, and operational performance improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating with operations, maintenance,
project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
Contract through June 2027

Job Duties:
Process Engineering & Operational Support
• Monitor plant process performance and provide process surveillance to support safe, reliable,
and efficient operations.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify, investigate, and communicate
performance deviations.
• Collect, review, and evaluate process data, including Safe Operating Limit (SOL) exceedances, and
provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process simulations to support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and process
optimization activities.
• Collaborate with operations personnel to identify and resolve process-related issues.
• Develop process monitoring tools and recommend improvements that enhance production,
reliability, and efficiency.
• Conduct debottlenecking studies and recommend solutions to maximize facility utilization and
performance.
• Perform research and technical evaluations that improve process safety, reliability, and
operational effectiveness.
Process Safety & Risk Management
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Layers of
Protection Analysis (LOPA), and other risk assessments.
• Interpret process hazard study recommendations and assist with risk ranking, solution
development, implementation, and closure activities.

• Facilitate and participate in process safety and technical studies.
• Support incident investigations by analyzing process and system failures, determining root
causes, and developing corrective actions.
• Promote process safety best practices and compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
Management of Change (MOC)
• Manage technical aspects of the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Support the development, review, execution, and closeout of MOC activities.
• Prepare and review technical documentation including process safety information, work
packages, training materials, and pre-startup safety reviews.
• Ensure facility modifications are completed in accordance with approved engineering practices
and management systems.
Projects & Technical Leadership
• Develop preliminary scopes of work, project schedules, and cost estimates for capital and facility
improvement projects.
• Provide engineering support for commissioning, startup, and operation of new process systems
and facility upgrades.
• Support commercial operations, regulatory compliance activities, and cross-functional initiatives
by providing technical expertise and process data analysis.
• Participate in internal and external audits and assessments as a technical resource.
• Deliver process-related technical training to operations personnel as needed.
Technical Knowledge & Documentation
• Utilize and interpret engineering documentation including:
o Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
o Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
o Material and Energy Balances
o Cause and Effect Diagrams
o Control Narratives
• Apply engineering principles, design specifications, applicable codes, standards, contracts, and
industry best practices.
• Prepare clear and professional written and verbal communications for technical and non-
technical audiences.

Job Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
Experience
• Minimum 10 years of Process Engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of gas treatment and/or gas liquefaction process experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within an operating industrial facility.
• Experience supporting LNG facilities, gas processing facilities, petrochemical plants, or similar
industrial operations preferred.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, facility modifications, and capital projects
preferred.
Required Certifications
• Valid and current TWIC card required.
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required.
Technical Knowledge
• Strong understanding of process engineering principles and process optimization.
• Knowledge of process safety management practices and methodologies.
• Experience participating in PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, and incident investigation processes.
• Knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, codes, and industry best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Schedule
• Full-time assignment.
• Monday through Friday schedule.
• Typical working hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Less than 10% travel may be required, including occasional travel to local off-site locations.
