Position: Junior Accountant Clerk

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant Clerk to join our team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level candidate looking to kickstart their career in accounting and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and invoice processing
• Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Monitor and track company expenses and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Provide support for audit and tax preparation processes
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internship experience will be considered)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and eager to learn and take on new challenges
• Must be able to work full-time and have a valid work permit for South Africa
