Job Description:

The Automation and Process Intelligence Engineer is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and supporting automation and process-intelligence solutions across business and financial operations. The role combines process analysis with RPA engineering, orchestration, scripting, process mining, integrations, and AI-assisted analytics.
The role supports operational transformation by delivering reliable, controlled, and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, quality, capacity, and business value.

Responsibilities

Automation Opportunity Discovery & Process Analysis

• Identify and assess automation opportunities using process maps, operational data, process mining, and stakeholder observation.
• Analyze workflows to identify simplification, orchestration, and automation opportunities.
• Define target processes, business rules, exception paths, approvals, and control evidence before implementation.
• Translate process evidence into practical, measurable automation solutions.

Automation Engineering & Integration

• Design, build, and maintain UiPath automations, scripts, workflow orchestrations, and approved AI-assisted components.
• Integrate solutions with APIs, files, databases, queues, and enterprise applications.
• Apply approved engineering, integration, and security patterns.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and reusable automation components.

Testing, Deployment & Operational Control

• Implement testing, version control, deployment, access controls, and monitoring.
• Prepare runbooks, recovery procedures, and operational support documentation.
• Ensure approvals, audit evidence, exception handling, and controls remain effective.
• Investigate failures and coordinate corrective and recovery actions.

Performance & Automation Lifecycle

• Monitor automation reliability, adoption, and operational performance.
• Measure cycle-time reduction, quality improvements, released capacity, and realized financial benefits.
• Manage change impact, failure analysis, maintenance, technical debt, and retirement.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the automation lifecycle.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and other business stakeholders.
• Facilitate process-discovery and solution-design workshops.
• Support users during deployment, adoption, and process change.
• Communicate solution performance, risks, dependencies, and business benefits.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in workflow automation, process analysis, or software scripting.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions.
• Experience working with business and financial operations is desirable.

Skills & Certifications

• Hands-on experience with UiPath, Celonis, APIs, and SQL.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell.
• Strong process-analysis, workflow-design, troubleshooting, and integration capabilities.
• Experience with Celonis, BPM, process mining, or AI-assisted analytics is strongly desirable.
• Knowledge of testing, version control, deployment, monitoring, access controls, and recovery procedures.
• Relevant process-mining or automation certifications are an advantage.

Languages

• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
