The Junior Accountant provides day-to-day accounting and administrative support to ensure accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, and efficient processing of accounting transactions. This role assists with vendor management, payroll and benefits reconciliations, account reconciliations, research activities, and other routine accounting functions while supporting the accounting team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain vendor documentation, accounting records and supporting files in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements.
• Review, track and maintain vendor requirements, including Certificates of Insurance (COI) and other compliance documentation.
• Assist with vendor setup, updates, and administrative maintenance.
• Support invoice processing and vendor inquiries. 
• Prepare and maintain Payroll reconciliations to ensure payroll expenses, taxes, and related liabilities are accurately recorded.
• Perform employee benefit reconciliations including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefit plans.
• Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Research, analyze and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Conduct research related to accounting transactions, vendor issues, and account discrepancies.
• Assist with gathering information for audits, compliance reviews, and financial analyses.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of Accounting, bookkeeping or finance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
