Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team in Tacoma, WA.
As an Employee Benefits Account Executive, you’ll manage an assigned book of business, build strong client relationships, and provide guidance on employee benefits programs and compliance. This role includes supporting renewals, ensuring accurate documentation, and contributing to business growth through account expansion and referrals.
*This is a hybrid position of 2 days in the office and 3 days of working from home*
How You Will Contribute:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique business needs and objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Maintain relationships and assume primary responsibility for all renewal negotiations.
- Maintain current appointments and licensing with applicable markets.
- Participate in Carrier Advisory councils in collaboration with the EB Practice Leader.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of clients' existing benefits programs and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Provide expert guidance on a range of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and more.
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement tailored benefits solutions that align with their organizational goals and budget constraints.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to offer innovative and competitive benefits packages.
- Ensure clients' benefits programs comply with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in the regulatory landscape and communicate their impact on clients' benefits offerings.
- Manage the benefits renewal process, negotiating with carriers to secure competitive rates and terms.
- Proactively identify opportunities for program enhancements or cost-saving measures.
- Utilize data analytics to assess the performance and utilization of benefits programs.
- Prepare and present regular reports to clients, highlighting key insights and
- recommending adjustments as needed.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, underwriting, and additional
- teammates, to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share industry knowledge, best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Washington Life & Health license in good standing. Required within 90 days of hire.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in benefits consulting or account management.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Current knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes.
Pay Range
90,000.00 - 115,000.00 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
