Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, this position will assist with ensuring the daily smooth running of the Sports Medicine Clinic front desk, assist medical staff with handling paperwork and respond to patient inquiries.
Duties:
- Ensure front-desk coverage as required.
- Assist with front desk duties: patient check-ins, respond to telephone inquiries, schedule new and follow-up appointments, handle payments/providing receipts to patients, respond to emails and SquareSpace inquiries
- Create/open files for new patients, pull up/prepare files for incoming patients (same day and following day) requiring day sheets and necessary forms.
- Print faxes and test results when necessary
- Scan medical files if requested by patients
- Balance float at end of day and drop off at business office
- Complete patient care coordination related tasks, scan and send off imaging and test requisitions as requested by doctors
- Restock supplies (disinfectant bottles refill and/or towel supply) as required
- Modify schedule of health care providers as needed.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Bilingual in French and English is a strong asset
