Finance Manager

Our client is a reputable local investment company, mainly operating in the retail sector. They are currently seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team and oversee the financial operations of the company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Overseeing the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Analysing financial performance and providing recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Ensuring timely preparation and submission of statutory, tax, VAT, payroll and regulatory returns.
• Coordinating and overseeing year-end audits and liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and other professional advisors.
• Maintaining and improving internal financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Monitoring working capital, including debtors, creditors, inventory and cash management.
• Reviewing and approving payments, reconciliations and accounting entries.
• Supervising the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, training and performance management.
• Supporting business unit and department heads with financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Evaluating capital expenditure proposals and monitoring investment performance.
• Assisting in mergers, acquisitions, financing arrangements and other corporate transactions where required.
• Preparing reports and presentations for senior management, directors and shareholders.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance management role.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, together with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
