We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Airport Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to travelers at Cape Town International Airport. You will assist passengers with check-in, baggage handling, and other inquiries, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome passengers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist passengers with check-in procedures and issue boarding passes
- Handle baggage and assist with loading and unloading onto aircraft
- Answer inquiries and provide information about flight schedules, airport facilities, and other travel-related questions
- Handle and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with airport staff and other departments to ensure a seamless travel experience for passengers
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary airport security clearance
