The YMCA of Broome County is hiring a part-time Front Desk Customer Service Representative for our Binghamton location. This role is often the first point of contact for members and guests and combines front desk service, membership support, customer service, phone and email communication, and accurate data entry. If you are friendly, dependable, organized and enjoy helping people, this is a great opportunity to join a community-focused team in a welcoming fitness and recreation environment.
What You'll Do
- Welcome members and guests and provide friendly, professional front desk customer service.
- Respond to member questions by phone, email and in person.
- Assist with membership applications, renewals, upgrades and account questions.
- Explain YMCA membership benefits, programs and services.
- Maintain accurate member information and complete data entry in the membership database.
- Help resolve member concerns and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
- Process routine front desk and membership transactions accurately.
- Work with other YMCA departments to create a positive member experience.
Available Part-Time Shifts
Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM-8:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM & 12:00 PM-4:00 PM
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization and multitasking skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office, databases and basic computer systems.
- A friendly, professional approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
