Senior Financial Accountant

We’re seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in this newly created position. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our financial reporting and compliance framework, with responsibility across financial accounting, statutory reporting, audit, compliance lodgements and grant acquittals.
What you’ll do
Prepare and lodge indirect tax returns including BAS, GST, FBT and payroll tax.
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Own the preparation of statutory accounts and corporate reporting obligations.
Lead audit readiness activities, including preparation of annual audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
Support the Finance Manager with financial reporting, analysis and process improvements.
What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field.
CPA or CA qualification is mandatory.
Strong technical knowledge of current Australian Accounting Standards and demonstrated experience with statutory financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience preparing statutory financial statements, compliance reporting and audit workpapers.
High-level proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
Prior experience in large multi-site operations (e.g., childcare, retail, or healthcare) is highly regarded.
