VSC Fire & Security corporate is seeking candidates for the position of Accounting Manager

What you need:
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, audit, or transaction advisory services.
- Experience with consolidations, acquisitions, and complex accounting environments.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or Oracle).
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, macros, and data analysis tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidations.
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-state operations and intercompany accounting.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Desireable (but not required)
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience with post-acquisition integrations and operational improvements
- Background in the construction industry is a plus
- Exposure to technical accounting topics, such as revenue recognition (ASC 606) or lease accounting (ASC 841)
What you will do:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Manage multi-entity consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Oversee fixed assets, revenue recognition, and lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842 and other applicable standards.
- Assist with financial due diligence for acquisitions, including quality of earnings analyses and integration planning.
- Oversee the onboarding and financial integration of acquired entities into the company’s accounting systems and processes.
- Partner with leadership to develop financial forecasts and models for potential acquisitions.
- Lead the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during the annual financial audit process.
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards, ensuring timely compliance and reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure SOX compliance (if applicable).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting team members.
- Support ERP system enhancements and upgrades, including automation of complex accounting processes.
