Job Summary
• This role is responsible for developing reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions for products throughout their lifecycle, by applying intermediate level of subject matter knowledge. The role drives cross-functional activities and schedules, conducts in-depth engineering analysis of defective items, and ensures successful production of assigned subsystems or product components. The role implements targeted improvements to products and processes, reduces defects, enhances quality, and lowers costs, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
• Develops and executes reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for products through the lifecycle.
• Drives cross-functional tasks and schedules for component, supplier, and product qualifications.
• Performs engineering analysis of defective product units or sub- assemblies; consolidates results of customer feedback and manufacturing, test, and quality assurance processes for product.
•Coordinates the activities of internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners in support of the manufacture of assigned subsystems or portions of product.
• Communicates product and process issue analysis to product engineering leader and product team to initiate design improvements, documentation and achieve continuous improvement.
• Implements specified changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.
• Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
• Works independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment, and resolving various issues by following company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in product design & development, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
