Description
Our client is a well-known luxury Hotel located in Bangkok, Thailand.
Title of Position: Director of Training & Quality Improvement
Package: 130,000 Baht
Benefits: The position offers local package with all the usual benefits
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To liaise and co-ordinate with division heads and department heads to identify training needs and determine training priorities.
- To propose yearly training budget and control departmental expenses.
- To recommend appropriate training activities and propose yearly training plan.
- To arrange, co-ordinate and conduct training activities for all staff of different departments.
- To ensure that all new employees at general and supervisory levels be given adequate orientation and familiarization when they join the hotel
- To leverage and promote the corporate culture and initiatives, include hotel Behavioral Standards.
- To coach, motivate and monitor the trainers, and arrange departmental trainers meeting monthly.
- To counsel staff on all aspects of training and development.
- To design development plan for staff with career growth potential.
- To recruit, select and monitor part-time teachers.
- To source professional trainers and training organizations for in-house training activities.
- To liaise with external educational and training organizations re applications of staff to attend courses externally and subsidy.
- To implement trainee schemes, recruit, select and coordinate program for all categories of in house trainees
- To liaise with education institutions and department managers with regard to trainee progress.
Requirements
- Thai nationality.
- Bachelor Degree, University degree in Learning and Development, or Human Resources, or English Education or Hospitality Management or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years Learning and Development practical experience, from multinational companies or hospitality operations.
- 5 star hotel working experience will be an advantage.
- Strong communication with staff, managers and inter-personal skills.
- Fluent in English – written and oral skills must be at a business proficient level
