Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Response Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will conduct routine patrols, assist with access control and alarm response, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate site personnel and/or first responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, adjacent areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
