Job Summary:
Lead workforce development, grant-funded training, and customized business training and acts as a bridge between the college and the local community. Must keep a pulse on the regional economy to anticipate and meet evolving skills gaps and actively engage with local business leaders, community organizations, and industry partners to rapidly design, launch, and scale tailored training solutions that meet immediate workforce demands.Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as initial contact for prospective and current clients.
- Conduct initial discovery discussion(s) to determine topic, scope and dates of training.
- Negotiate the initial proposal for training.
- Prepare and execute formal proposal.
- Source subject-matter-experts for review and selection by the client.
- Execute the contract once the proposal is approved and Subject Matter Expert (SME) is selected.
- Ensure registration of students in Learning Management Systems.
- Ensure grades are entered in Learning Management Systems
- Administer, collect and interpret course evaluations and provide formal analytic report to the client.
- Manage ongoing training programs that require regular meetings to align or calibrate any changes, revisions, SME adjustments, etc.
- Manage the training budget.
- Vet and hire new SMEs.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five (5) years of directly related experience.
Preferred
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Experience in Texas higher education.
Three (3) years of experience developing in-person/online training programs, instructional design training or certification.
