SENIOR BUSINESS PERFORMANCE ANALYST

Role Overview:  

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Performance Analyst to lead key FP&A activities for the Advanced Materials division across the EMEAI region. You will play a key role in driving financial performance, forecasting, business partnering, and financial oversight of regional non-manufacturing entities. Working closely with the FP&A & Site Controlling Manager, you will act as a trusted finance partner, connecting business activities with their financial impact and providing insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

This is a highly visible and hands-on role for an experienced finance professional who can operate independently, challenge financial performance, and translate complex business activities into clear financial outcomes.

Role Responsibilities: 

As a Senior Business Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for: 

• Driving the monthly FP&A cycle, including actual versus forecast analysis, variance investigation, and clear explanation of the business drivers behind results.

• Owning budgeting and forecasting for regional non-manufacturing entities, covering headcount, people costs, and non-people costs.

• Contributing to month-end close activities, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and meaningful for management review and decision-making.

• Reviewing financial results and accounting outputs to ensure reported figures are accurate, reasonable, and aligned with business performance.

• Acting as the financial controller for regional non-manufacturing entities, ensuring robust financial oversight, clear performance insights, and effective business support.

• Preparing high-quality financial materials, insights, and management commentary for leadership review.

• Translating business initiatives and organizational changes into their impact on the P&L, working capital, cash flow, forecasts, and accounting processes.

• Taking ownership of day-to-day operational financial challenges in the region, working closely with Shared Services teams to resolve issues, strengthen processes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Supporting SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements for assigned entities, helping prevent control gaps and financial misstatements.

• Identifying performance gaps, cost opportunities, and efficiency improvements, and helping translate insights into action.

• Supporting working capital and cash performance by analyzing key drivers, identifying improvement opportunities, and partnering with the business to strengthen cash discipline and financial decision-making.

• Strengthening inventory performance insight by supporting finance-led inventory reporting, including roll-forward, absorption, and inventory movement analysis.

Experience and Competencies: 

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on finance professional who combines strong FP&A and accounting expertise with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently, challenging financial performance, translating complex business activities into financial outcomes, and building credibility with senior stakeholders across the organization.

What we are looking for: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in FP&A, controlling, audit, or consulting within a manufacturing company in a B2B environment.
• Strong FP&A and accounting background with the ability to assess financial results, investigate variances, and challenge financial data.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business stakeholders and provide financial guidance to support decision-making.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial systems and tools such as SAP, TM1/IBM, and Power BI is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and drive them through to resolution.
• Ability to translate business activities into financial impact, including P&L, working capital, and cash flow implications.
• Self-driven, hands-on, and proactive approach with a high level of ownership and accountability.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and challenge assumptions when needed.
