Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs. Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development. Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practices. Collaborate with peer organizations, DevOps, Support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimates. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved. Work with team to troubleshoot code level problems quickly and efficiently. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems. Focus on scalability, security and availability of all applications and processes. Some telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted.
Special Requirements: Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:
Design and develop front-end applications using React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS to implement user interface requirements and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and Java to support application functionality, data processing, and secure system integrations.
Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Mocha to validate functionality and identify defects.
Develop and optimize applications using Redux, React Query, RxJS, and modern front-end performance techniques such as caching, lazy loading, and profiling tools to improve application efficiency.
Utilize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, and automated deployment processes to build, test, and deploy application code.
Develop modular micro-frontend architectures and integrate services using GraphQL, REST APIs, and Webpack Module Federation to support distributed application development.
Participate in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira, Git, and code review workflows to track work items, manage source code, and collaborate with team members.
Position requires at least one semester of graduate-level coursework or some work experience in each of the following skills:
Work with databases including MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis, including schema design and querying to store and retrieve application data.
Diagnose and improve application performance using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, and browser developer tools to identify and resolve system issues.
Use AWS cloud services such as Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch, S3, Step Functions, and CodePipeline for application development and deployment to support cloud-based application environments.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $168,991 and $199,000 /year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
