Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director Hospital and Outpatient Services, you will oversee the administration of our integrated healthcare system, managing multidisciplinary clinics, hospital operations, and community health programs to ensure operational and financial excellence. You will serve as a strategic leader for 12+ providers, fostering high-level collaboration with regional leadership and medical staff to drive organizational growth.

 

Every day you will manage the daily business functions of ambulatory and hospital sites while serving as a dedicated patient advocate to ensure the highest standards of safety and relationship-based care. You will also act as a key liaison across service lines and joint ventures, translating our mission and core values into impactful, daily clinical operations.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess proven leadership competencies in healthcare administration, fiscal management, and the ability to cultivate strong, ethical partnerships with physicians and clinical teams. We are seeking a mission-driven expert committed to optimizing patient outcomes and operational efficiency within a complex, evolving healthcare environment.

• Oversees day-to-day activities of multiple practice sites, hospital, and community health programs within an assigned geographic area, ensures regulatory readiness and safety, and understands the needs of the customers.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the service and facility operations and programs and initiating required changes or improvements.
• Develops, recommends, and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans, and is responsible for the management of financial aspects of daily clinic operations, including coding, cash control and deposits, charge entry, financial reporting, petty cash, and Central Business Office communications.
• Functions as the primary liaison between assigned clinic site(s) and other departments or managers within the health system to ensure an integrated operation of the facilities within the overall system.
• Develop and maintain physician relationships to ensure engagement and lead staff engagement.
• Design and implement services and programs that meet the needs of customers within an environment that assures a positive patient and family experience.

Job Requirements

Required

• A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).
• At least four (4) years of healthcare leadership experience.
• Registered Nurse: RN license to practice in state of employment as applicable.
• Nursing Specialty Certification: Sit within 6 months. Must achieve within one (1) year of hire or transfer to the role.

Preferred

• Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
• Experience in Rural Acute Care.
