Job Title - Senior Manager, Corporate Reporting
Summary:
Role is responsible for the financial close and external reporting for the entity, ensuring full compliance with Ind AS/IFRS, SEBI regulation and internal control framework. The position will report to Finance Controller and has 3 direct reports. GSK India (LOC) is a publicly listed biopharmaceutical company on India’s National Stock Exchanges, market capitalisation of ~ ₹45k Cr. The company operates with a workforce of around 3,000 employees and manages a diverse portfolio of global and local pharmaceutical brands.
Purpose:
This position partners closely with the India CFO and Finance Controller, setting strategic financial direction/plans, driving operational focus and efficiency, and championing talent development. Additionally, the role is responsible for managing compliance with external stock exchange regulations and internal governance standards, thereby ensuring sustainable business growth and robust financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quarterly Closures: Own the end-to-end financial closure process in publishing financial results within SEBI’s regulations and timelines. (Quarterly Statutory audits, Certifications, external disclosures on various issues, audit reports, etc)
- IFC & IFRS : Ensure absolute compliance with IFRS / Ind AS and testing of control effectiveness including SoX
- Ensuring compliance with Companies Act , Schedule III and Related Party compliances
- Audit Management: Interface for statutory, internal, and cost auditors to close financial statements with zero audit qualifications & resolve queries
- Audit Committee / Board: Prepare quarterly financial results, budget variances, and risk frameworks for the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
- Investor / Analyst Meet: Prepare Investor / Analyst quarterly presentation and work closely with FC, CFO & Corporate Communications team for Press Release.
- Forecasting : Responsible for Entity forecast (Annual / Quarterly) and should have a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting & strategic financial analysis.
- Support to Direct and Indirect tax teams for assessments.
- Process Automation: Implement digitization initiatives to simplify the process and systems to improve productivity
- People Development: Lead and mentor and a high-performing team.
- Actively lead / participate in transformation/strategic projects, drive and influence business providing input for strategy development/ and general financial and business expertise.
Basic Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountants
- +12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience handling the Statutory report profile / Statutory Audit profile is a must
- Experience in Financial Reporting within a large company
- Experience ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and principles
- Experienced management/governance of large value of spend
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Strong time management skills - ability to achieve quality while delivering to tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
