Summary
IQ Fiber is seeking a Supervisor, Warehouse to support daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and staff supervision, while helping ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role is responsible for supporting efficient, accurate, and cost-effective warehouse operations on a shift or team level, working under the direction of the Manager, Warehouse Operations.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong operational judgment, a commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to guide and hold accountable a team of warehouse associates in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, scanning, unloading, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of materials, to ensure accuracy and timeliness across assigned workflows.
- Support accurate inventory control within warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS), including documentation of shipments, inventory movements, and cycle counts to support stock accuracy and minimize loss.
- Supervise warehouse associates on assigned shifts, providing day-to-day coaching, training, and accountability to support team performance.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity; identify opportunities for process improvement and escalate recommendations to the Manager, Warehouse Operations.
- Ensure the warehouse, dock areas, and facility grounds are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
- Monitor the safe operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks; enforce OSHA compliance, report damages, and support facility security protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and alignment with broader operational needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with some lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
- Forklift certification preferred; ability to operate or oversee the use of warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (ERP/WMS) and basic computer applications; experience with inventory control systems and cycle counting processes preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and inventory management practices, including OSHA compliance.
- Ability to supervise and coach warehouse associates with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple operational needs simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods and working in varying temperatures.
- Daily warehouse activities are supervised effectively, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and distribution of materials across assigned workflows with minimal disruption.
- Inventory control and reporting are accurate and reliable, with processes in place that maintain stock accuracy, minimize loss, and consistently support operational needs.
- Process improvement opportunities are identified proactively using performance metrics and escalated to support scalable, lasting solutions.
- Warehouse associates are supervised with consistent coaching, training, and accountability that supports a high-performing and reliable team.
- Safety, regulatory, and company standards are upheld without exception, maintaining a secure, well-organized warehouse environment that meets all compliance requirements.
