Description
Job title: Credit Controller
Location: 2-3 days a week in the office, Bristol
Salary: TBC
This is a great opportunity for an experienced credit controller to join a growing team of someone in customer services to gain exposure to a credit control role where ensuring you maintain a strong relationship with customers is paramount.
You will be joining the credit control team, attending onsite training, and working in a hybrid capacity thereafter.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate deep client business understanding while managing debt collection.
• Oversee full-service client portfolio for effective credit control.
• Pursue outstanding debts via phone, email, and letters, aligning with the credit control schedule.
• Complete monthly debt chase for each client.
• Employ call-backs for thorough call logging.
• Validate current debt records for due and overdue payments.
• Negotiate repayment plans as needed.
• Recommend solicitor involvement when appropriate.
• Address customer inquiries, including invoice disputes.
• Track customer collections in the designated system.
• Organize and maintain client files for credit control.
• Communicate and update clients regularly, filing information.
• Provide timely updates to managers and executives.
• Review monthly client data for DSO fluctuations.
• Maintain unallocated cash under 5% in the assigned portfolio.
Experience:
• 1+ year(s) of credit control experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with the bespoke C3 system.
