Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Documentation in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener supporting a leading technology data center location, you will help maintain a controlled environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access activity, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a reliable, team-focused operation with integrity. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to an innovative setting while helping to deter incidents through a visible, attentive presence.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and visitor activity; identify and report unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, or unusual activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A college degree is required.
• A minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
