Description
Nursery Room Leader – Southampton (Portswood)
A well-established, not-for-profit nursery in Southampton (Portswood) is seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a values-driven setting that prioritises both children’s development and staff wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a room, ensuring high standards of care and education
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS
- Support, mentor, and develop team members
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are upheld
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
- Previous experience in a senior or Room Leader role
- Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Package:
- £14.80 per hour (40 hours per week)
- Salary negotiable for the right candidate
- Nursery operating hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
