JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Purpose Statement (briefly state overall job objective)

The position operates at a project engineering level and reports to the Projects Director.

The role requires someone with an exceptional customer service ethos, strong organisational and effective

communications skills. The principle aim of this role is to deliver outstanding service through a process of

continuous development and maintenance of effective processes and procedures. A key requirement is the ability

to lead projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will be expected

to contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s energy service products and initiatives.

 

Job Accountabilities (the important end results to be achieved)

▪ Contribute to ensure all new works are priced and quoted within agreed company performance targets ▪ Contribute to ensure all customer invoices/part invoices/applications are submitted on time with all necessary

information in order that payment will be secured. ▪ Successful delivery of all works under their control, ensuring all works are delivered on time and at the margin

approved at the point of sale ▪ Create technical submittals and O&M documentation ▪ To create wiring schedule & panel loadings & submit to panel manufactures ▪ To write software for Control systems & internal processes ▪ To create graphics & submit to client with amendments until approved ▪ To receive completed draft panel drawings from manufacturer, check & adjust / approve ▪ To send annotated drawings back to manufacturers for correction until correct ▪ To receive amended drawings, proof changes & issue for client approval ▪ To correct drawings as per client instruction until correct ▪ To receive client approval & issue drawings for manufacture according to project timeline ▪ To oversee installation & provide ongoing support to the install team ▪ To check stock is delivered to site correctly. ▪ To ensure method statements & risk assessments reflect current project phase throughout the project & are

read by the engineers ▪ To update MS&RA’s to reflect current stage of project, issue to client, copy to project manager ▪ Ensure all variation work on projects are accurately captured and raised to the clients for approval ▪ Working with finance to ensure payments are made by the client within the terms and conditions of the contract ▪ Forecast labour requirements to help overall staff planning ▪ Contribute to ensure all reports are submitted to clients within agreed company performance targets ▪ Work with the administrators in the planning and scheduling of engineers to ensure customer requirements are

met on service and projects. ▪ Take the lead and own customer escalation issues through to conclusion ▪ Recognise the importance of procedures and processes and adhere to these to deliver a high standard of

customer service ▪ Frequently interface and communicate with customers to assist with account development ▪ Liaise with internal colleagues to co-ordinate end-to-end delivery of Customer Service ▪ Work confidently within a pressurised environment, multi tasking between the different operational disciplines. ▪ Knowledge of energy management initiatives ▪ Be aware of and comply with Global Associates ISO 9001 quality management system including all applicable
