Position Overview

As an Area Manager, you will serve as the operational backbone for our accounts in Bay City and the surrounding communities. You will be responsible for managing a team of commercial cleaners and support staff, ensuring that client facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This role requires a proactive approach to team leadership, quality control, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and mentor cleaning associates and support technicians. Build a cohesive, motivated team committed to high performance.

• Operations & Account Management: Conduct regular, detailed building walkthroughs and inspections to ensure all quality standards and contractual agreements are met or exceeded.

• Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for account representatives in your territory. Address client inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.

• Scheduling & Payroll Management: Oversee staff scheduling, manage shift coverage, monitor timecards, and control labor costs to meet operational budgets.

• Supply & Equipment Oversight: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment across all assigned accounts, ensuring safety and compliance.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, proper chemical handling (OSHA/HAZCOM guidelines), and correct ergonomic cleaning techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience required, preferably in commercial cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, or retail operations.

• Driver's License & Reliable Transportation: Must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).

• Flexibility: Ability to work primarily evening hours, with flexibility to respond to operational needs or client requirements as they arise.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform routine building walkthroughs, lift up to 35 lbs, and demonstrate proper cleaning equipment usage.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
