A well-established back-office services company is hiring an entrepreneurial, AI-fluent Chief Operating Officer to lead its transformation into an AI-powered business.

The company provides CRM management and bookkeeping services to a loyal and growing client base, supported by documented processes, established workflows, a systemized client onboarding process, and a trained remote team of virtual assistants. The next chapter: an AI-driven operation where intelligent agents handle much of the day-to-day CRM and bookkeeping work while skilled humans oversee the systems.

This is not a traditional COO position. Working directly with the founder and an AI consultant, you will help design, implement, and ultimately manage the AI-powered version of the business, with significant responsibility for shaping its technology, operations, and future direction.

What you'll own:

• AI implementation: evaluate existing CRM and bookkeeping processes, identify automation opportunities, and prioritize implementation
• Agent development: build, test, deploy, and monitor AI agents that reliably perform operational tasks
• Systems management: develop workflows that integrate AI, Salesforce-based CRM, QuickBooks Online, and client communications
• Team leadership: manage and train a remote team of virtual assistants to work effectively alongside AI
• Quality control: establish oversight systems for accuracy, reliability, data security, and client confidentiality
• Business development: help design scalable service packages, pricing models, and streamlined client onboarding
• Continuous improvement: monitor emerging AI capabilities and keep improving systems and service delivery

Who you are:

• Hands-on experience building AI automations, agents, and workflows, not just using AI tools
• Working knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
• Familiarity with bookkeeping principles; QuickBooks Online a plus
• Experience managing remote teams, or the ability to do it effectively
• Organized, systems-oriented mindset; you document processes and build reliable, repeatable workflows
• Entrepreneurial attitude and excitement about building something from the ground up
• Strong commitment to protecting sensitive client and financial information

Compensation and growth:

• $85K; structured hourly to start, transitioning to a salaried executive position as the business develops
• Long-term leadership opportunity with vesting equity potential over time
