Financial Markets & Insights Head

You will be responsible for the following: 

1. Liquidity Management

• Oversee liquidity positioning and monitoring across all entities.

• Assess liquidity requirements, funding needs, cash flows, and available liquidity buffers.

• Develop liquidity insights and recommendations to support efficient deployment of cash resources.

• Monitor market and business developments that may impact liquidity requirements.

• Support liquidity planning, forecasting, and contingency considerations.

2. Investment Mix & Portfolio Management

• Develop and oversee the appropriate investment mix across eligible financial instruments.

• Evaluate investment opportunities based on yield, liquidity, risk, tenor, and portfolio requirements.

• Monitor investment performance and portfolio composition.

• Recommend adjustments to the investment mix based on market conditions, liquidity requirements, and organizational objectives.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and financial institutions on investment opportunities and execution.

3. Retirement

• Oversee financial market activities and investment considerations related to retirement and pension programs.

• Monitor investment performance, asset allocation, and market developments relevant to retirement portfolios.

• Provide insights and recommendations to support long-term retirement fund objectives.

• Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders, fund managers, and financial institutions.

4. Market Updates & Insights

• Provide regular updates on interest rates, foreign exchange, fixed income, equities, macroeconomic developments, and other relevant financial markets.

• Translate market movements into implications for liquidity, investments, funding, and financial exposures.

• Develop market intelligence and insights for senior management and relevant stakeholders.

• Monitor emerging market trends and identify potential opportunities and risks.

5. Solutions & Insights

• Develop financial solutions and recommendations in response to business and treasury requirements.

• Analyze financial exposures and identify opportunities to improve returns, liquidity, funding efficiency, and risk management.

• Partner with internal teams to assess the financial implications of new products, businesses, and initiatives.

• Provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making.

• Lead or support strategic financial projects involving markets, investments, liquidity, and other financial solutions.

6. Foreign Exchange (FX) Deals

• Oversee and execute FX transactions in accordance with approved policies, limits, and risk parameters.

• Manage FX requirements and exposures across the organization’s entities.

• Monitor FX market conditions and provide recommendations on execution and appropriate hedging solutions.

• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on FX pricing, execution, and market opportunities.

• Ensure appropriate documentation, controls, and reporting for FX transactions.

7. Banking Relationship Management

• Manage and strengthen relationships with banks and other financial institutions across the organization.

• Serve as a key point of contact for banking partners on liquidity, investments, FX, funding, and other financial market matters.

• Evaluate banking products, services, pricing, and solutions to support organizational requirements.

• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with banking partners, including rates, fees, credit facilities, investment opportunities, and other financial services.

• Monitor banking partner performance and identify opportunities to optimize banking arrangements.

• Maintain a diversified and effective banking network aligned with the organization’s financial and operational requirements.

8. GXI & Entity Point-of-Contact

• Serve as the primary financial markets and insights point-of-contact for GXI and other relevant entities.

• Partner with entity Finance, Treasury, and business teams on liquidity, investment, FX, and market-related requirements.

• Consolidate entity-level requirements and provide a group-wide perspective on financial markets activities.

• Facilitate alignment across entities on financial markets practices, solutions, and priorities.

• Represent Financial Markets & Insights in relevant cross-functional and management discussions.

9. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop the Financial Markets & Insights team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and execution standards.

• Build strong relationships with senior management, Finance, Treasury, Risk, business units, banks, and other external financial institutions.

• Provide clear and timely recommendations on financial market matters to support management decisions.

• Promote disciplined execution, sound risk management, and continuous improvement across the function.
