The Role
As a Junior Project Manager, you will work alongside our experienced Project Management team to help coordinate residential construction projects from planning through completion.
You will help keep projects organized, communicate with clients and trade partners, track schedules and budgets, and make sure important details do not fall through the cracks.
You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with a solid construction foundation who is capable of learning, taking ownership, and becoming increasingly independent.
The right person will be comfortable working with computers and project management systems and will bring a combination of construction knowledge, organization, communication, and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with the planning and execution of custom homes and residential renovation projects
- Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, designers, and other project partners
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement, and project documentation
- Conduct job site visits and help monitor project progress, quality, and schedule
- Track project details and follow up on outstanding items to keep work moving
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, trade partners, and team members
- Help identify potential issues and bring them to the attention of the Project Manager before they become larger problems
- Maintain accurate project information using construction management and digital systems
- Assist with project meetings, updates, selections, and other client communication
- Learn Alair's project management processes and develop the skills needed to independently manage projects over time
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, or a related construction environment
- Working knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and sequencing
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new software and systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
- Practical problem-solving skills and good judgment
- Willingness to learn and take increasing ownership of projects
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with construction management or project management software is a plus
You do not need to be an experienced Project Manager to apply. We are interested in construction professionals who have the foundation, work ethic, organization, and ability to grow into the role.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means becoming someone the team can rely on to keep projects organized, communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and solve problems before they become bigger issues.
As you develop your skills and demonstrate strong project execution, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and grow within the company.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary of $70,000 - $85,000 per year, comprehensive company-paid benefits, performance-based bonus opportunities, paid vacation, and potential flexibility for remote work allowances. This is an opportunity to join a growing company with strong career advancement potential.
