About the Client
The client is a fast-growing short-term rental and homestay management company dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for guests while maximizing rental yields for property owners. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Accounts Manager to lead the financial operations, channel revenue reconciliations, property owner payouts, and daily full set accounting functions.
Work Location: Cheras, Malaysia
Work Mode: Work from Office
Working Hours: Mon - Fri (9.30am to 6.30pm)
Remuneration: RM 6,000 to RM 8,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Core Accounting: Manage AP/AR, vendor invoices, utility payments, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial close.
- Tax & Compliance: Oversee local occupancy taxes, sales/tourist tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Owner Payouts & Revenue: Reconcile payouts from Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, and direct bookings; issue monthly host statements and disbursements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and expense reports for management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Good command of Mandarin (written and spoken) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking property owners and vendors.
- 5+ years of full-set accounting experience & managing a team (hospitality or real estate preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) like Guesty or Hostaway is a plus.
