Job Summary

The Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Program Coordinator to support the Center’s operations and growing portfolio of programs.

Reporting to the Senior Director and working closely with the Belfer Center team, the Program Coordinator will maintain the systems, logistics, communications, and administrative processes that keep the Center’s work moving forward. The role will also provide programmatic support across initiatives focused on leadership development, community building, civic engagement, and social innovation.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, coordinating across teams, and contributing to meaningful programs in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing a range of responsibilities.

We welcome candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds. Previous experience in the nonprofit, arts and culture, or social impact sectors is helpful but not required.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Belfer Center, including designated email accounts, calendars, files, contact lists, and shared team resources.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including scheduling, preparation of materials, agendas, notes, action items, and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support across the Belfer Center’s programs and initiatives, including research, written materials, presentations, and participant communications.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, public programs, cohort gatherings, receptions, and other events, including room reservations, food and beverage, invitations, RSVPs, registration, materials, and on-site needs.
  • Work with 92NY departments and external partners to support program and event planning and execution.
  • Support communications and relationships with program participants, alumni, partners, speakers, and other members of the Belfer Center community.
  • Attend selected programs and events, including occasional evening and weekend events, to provide on-site support.
  • Work with the Belfer Center team and 92NY’s Finance Department to process invoices, payments, reimbursements, contracts, and related documentation, and assist with budget tracking and expense reconciliation.
  • Maintain and improve internal systems, project-management tools, databases, workflows, templates, and recurring procedures.
  • May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to the role.

Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, polished work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and partners.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may evolve.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and using project-management, database, email marketing, survey, registration, and customer relationship management platforms. Experience with tools such as Monday.com, HubSpot, Salesforce, Typeform, Mailchimp, or similar platforms is helpful.
  • Previous experience supporting nonprofit programs, events, fundraising, operations, or administrative systems is helpful but not required.
  • Interest in social impact, innovation, community building, and the mission and values of 92NY.

Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours/week onsite at 92NY. Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm, with a one-hour unpaid meal break.

Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required to support programs and events.
