Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Duties: Owns workstreams and individual projects end-to-end for a business area, category or prototype. Manages risk associated with implementation. Works with leadership/business partners (e.g., Directors) to discuss and understand goals/functional objectives and key business challenges to develop hypotheses around current and future business issues; identifies functional analytics and research objectives and develops tactical research plans. Provides guidance to Directors and advises on next steps based on insights objectives and research. Presents actionable recommendations to Directors to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with leadership and other key stakeholders. Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for workstreams and individual projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for workstreams and individual projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Addresses complex business problems by applying advanced analytics to drive data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to team based on data analysis. Manages and executes data analysis strategy, providing guidance to less experienced team members. Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for workstreams and individual projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interfaces with external business partners and vendors.

 

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.

 

Skills required: Experience using SQL and Python/R to define, extract, and analyze large datasets  to determine, formulate, and track business objectives and core metrics. Experience applying statistical techniques and machine-learning modeling approaches to develop hypotheses, execute analyses, and translating results into meaningful insights and actions. Experience informing sales and marketing strategies and business development opportunities by partnering with stakeholders to turn complicated problems into actionable insights. Experience working on multiple analytics projects end-to-end with clear communication, detailed project plans, and operational processes that drive visibility and accountability with key stakeholders. Experience monitoring key advertiser metrics, investigating drivers of trends and patterns in customer lifecycle behavior, and providing regular updates on key initiatives and KPIs for the team. Experience creating campaign dashboards and visualization using Tableau. Experience analyzing large datasets in MS Excel and presenting final visualization in PowerPoint. Experience exploring database and extracting data using Google BigQuery or any equivalent cloud/SQL environment. Experience identifying and resolving data issues within reports and studies through cross-validation and experience identifying gaps and opportunities to improve data quality and coverage. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

 

Salary Range: $115,835/year to $186,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
