About the Role
The Supply Planner plays one of the most visible and critical roles in ensuring our company has the right products, at the right places, at the right times. A Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing end-to-end supply plans that ensure product availability, successful new product launches, and optimal inventory performance across assigned product categories. This role serves as a key cross-functional partner to Demand Planning, Sourcing, Product Development, Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teams to translate demand signals into executable supply strategies while balancing service, inventory, and cost objectives.
The position plays a critical role in launch readiness, supply risk management, capacity planning, and lifecycle management, ensuring products are available to support wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and international growth initiatives
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain supply plans for assigned product categories and product portfolios.
- Monitor inventory health, service levels, safety stock, and projected gaps to proactively mitigate supply risks.
- Manage purchase order strategy and supplier execution to support demand plans and business objectives.
- Lead inventory balancing activities across channels, regions, and distribution centers.
- Evaluate supply constraints and recommend recovery plans to minimize customer and revenue impact.
- Updates Purchase Orders based on vendor confirmation
- Identifies products oversold to forecasts and develops contingency plans
- Provides updated vendor forecasts monthly
- Lead supply planning activities for new product launches, seasonal programs, and product line extensions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams to align production capacity with forecasted demand.
- Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze forecast consumption, inventory trends, service performance, and fulfillment metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, data quality, planning systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Drive process standardization and supply planning best practices across product categories.
- Support development of dashboards and management tools that improve decision-making and supply
- Reviews exceptions and organizes data to review with Sr. Planner or Manager to resolve
- Prepares data and material for daily meetings with Supply Planning Manager
- Prepares data and material for monthly SIOP supply review meetings
- Communication
- Participates / contributes to weekly planning meetings with Procurement/vendors
- Participate / contributes to weekly planning meetings with Logistics
- Participates / contributes to daily planning meetings with Planning team
- Escalates exceptions identified that result in supply shortages or gaps
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Math, Finance or comparable field preferred
- Greater than 5 years in Supply Chain Operations, in a buyer/planning capacity
- Extensive data analysis skills using excel and/or access.
- Experience in SAP preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge and understanding of inventory management and capacity planning
- Comfortable and effective working cross-functionally at all levels and in a team environment
- Adept at handling detailed daily tasks while also applying your own creativity to improve our current practice
